Pre-Class Checklist

• AHA BLS Provider Card: You must hold a current American Heart Association BLS Provider certification before attending the instructor course.
• Personal Professional Resume: Update your resume highlighting any background in healthcare, education, or administrative support, as it will be submitted as part of your official application packet.

• Register for the Class: Ensure you officially sign up for your upcoming session.

• Register & Update on AHA Atlas: You must create an account on the official American Heart Association directory and complete the required updates before class.

  ⚠️ Crucial Note: You must use the exact same email address that is attached to your current AHA BLS Provider eCard for the system to recognize your prerequisites.

  Steps to Register on Atlas:

  1. Click Sign In/Sign Up in the top right corner.
  2. Scroll down and click Create an account.
  3. Fill out your profile details (Name, email, etc.).
  4. Complete the location pop-up form (Country, language, time zone).
  5. Under Notification Preferences, make sure to check the box for "Email" so you can receive student rosters and your official instructor card.
  6. Verify your phone number via the 6-digit text code, accept the terms, and click Submit.

• Print Your Certificate: You must print out the completion certificate from the online course and bring a physical copy to class for entry.

• Adult & Infant Manikins: At least one adult and one infant manikin equipped with a CPR feedback device that meets current AHA requirements. Prestan manikins are highly recommended.
